What is an API?

An API (Application Programming Interface) allows computers to communicate with each other. Your programmers will configure your system to interface with ours, providing you with flexibility. You can perform a wide range of operations on your side, as long as you adhere to our instructions for verifying and processing checks and comply with our Terms of Service.

If you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact Customer Service or your Sales Representative. We will be more than happy to explain how this can benefit your company and improve your bottom line.

Need something easier? Try our Payment Buttons or Email Invoicing.

API assistance is available through our programming department by appointment only Mon-Fri 9am-5pm EST. If you email our programming team their response time is 48-hours or less, not including weekends or federal holidays. All first-time appointments are set by Sales.

Do we help you integrate?

If you already have a programmer that can assist you have them take a look at our API Documentation. If the developer has questions about anything in the documentation he/she can reach out to our Sales Department. Sales will set an appointment to speak with a Programmer on our technical team. Our tech team will not discuss API integration with non-technical individuals. That is handled by customer service or sales.

If you do not already have a developer, and you do not have programming experience, you will need to consult with one before moving forward with plans to use our API.

Integrating a 3rd-party system

If you are currently using a third-party system to process transactions, such as an e-commerce system or "shopping cart," please note that we do integrate with several popular e-commerce platforms. However, if your specific platform is not yet integrated with our system, you will need to contact your third-party vendor and request that they integrate with Green. The reason for this is that they control their own software, not us.

If they agree, we may assist with the integration, depending on the level of support required.

Alternatively, if you have your own programmer, you can use our PHP SDK to create your own integration app.
